UltraPulse® TotalFX™

Laser skin resurfacing in Houma just became more advanced with UltraPulse® technology. The technology works in fractions on your skin, not effecting much more than the surface. It simulates a mild sunburn, days after the procedure the outer layer of skin will begin to flake off, and your skin will jump into repair mode. This is a natural process for the skin, it just needs a bit of a jump start. We look forward to working with you so we can provide you with the results that you envision.

How TotalFX™ Works in Houma

Laser skin resurfacing works by stimulating the collagen under the dermis layer of skin to trigger the skin’s natural healing process. During the procedure in Houma, a high-energy beam of laser light contacts the skin’s surface. This causes the upper layer to peel off so a new layer of healthy skin can be generated. The procedure only impacts a fraction of the skin’s surface. Small bridges of untouched skin are left, which helps the healing process move along much faster.

Benefits of Houma Laser Skin Resurfacing

Many Houma residents have enjoyed the benefits of TotalFX treatments. It has shown success in erasing the fine lines and wrinkles of the face while also smoothing and tightening the skin around the eyelids. The pucker marks from frown lines can disappear as can the brown spots and blotchy, uneven skin. Some have had success with smoker’s lines, and have seen improved skin tone and texture, and even the disappearance of stretch marks.

The UltraPulse Treatment in Houma

The UltraPulse® TotalFX™ treatment is an outpatient procedure performed in our office in Houma with topical anesthetic cream. Most clients equate the feel of the procedure to having a mild sunburn. We advise a gentle washing and moisturizing regimen. If you stick to the regimen, the outer layer of your skin should begin to flake off within two days, and pinkness should be gone in about a week. The skin should continue to improve over time, with the best results occurring about six months after the procedure.
